Field Hockey Playing Opportunities

 

Coastal Clash offers numerous playing opportunities for young field hockey players year-round. Girls and boys ages 4-18 are welcomed to participate. We provide training to improve skill in a practice environment, we travel to tournaments both locally and around the country, and we play in fun, competitive leagues right here in San Diego.

Coastal Clash is a diverse club because we understand everyone has different goals. We provide opportunities for our college-bound athletes to get recruited to play at the NCAA level (hopefully on scholarship), we play in fun leagues and tournaments for those players who just love the sport of field hockey, and we provide valuable training sessions which benefit every young athlete, no matter your skill or age. Tournaments

Field Hockey Tounaments

Tournaments are a fun way to test your skill against athletes you might not regularly play against. Coastal Clash travels to tournaments throughout United States. The majority of contests occur within California at locations such as Stanford, UC Berkeley, and at Moorpark College in Ventura county. Coastal Clash is a regular at the National Field Hockey Festival, which splits time located in Palm Springs, California and Palm Beach County, Florida. We also attend fun local San Diego tournaments which help support noble causes.

Want to improve your field hockey skill, strength, and knowledge of the game? We’re here to help. Our experienced coaches will guide players in a controlled training environment to better their overall play. Our staff are experts; instructing on everything from beginner basics to advanced skill and game strategy. Training is an opportunity for everyone to learn. How experienced are our coaches? Some of our coaches have traveled the world playing field hockey with our national team!

Leagues

Field Hockey Leagues

Coastal Clash participates in two leagues throughout the year, one in the winter and one in the summer. Leagues offer an opportunity for athletes to get regular game playing experience on a weekly basis, right here in San Diego. Winter league is a highly competitive league which keeps track of wins and losses to ultimately crown a winner. The Summer league, on the other hand, is played in a relaxed environment with the goal of getting girls ready for the high school season.
