Summer Field Hockey Camps
Coastal Clash will host three fun and educational summer field hockey camps each summer for girls and boys ages 4 – 18. The first camp will be available for younger players in grades K – 4th. This camp will focus on improving basic field hockey skills while having a ton of fun! The second of our summer camps will be for all players 5th-9th grade. This camp is great for both new and returning players and runs concurrently with the K-4th camp! Our third summer camp is for experienced players grades 8th-12th aiming to get their game to the next level. Expect a full week of in-depth topics and skills covered. Incoming freshmen with no experience are invited to join the 5th-9th camp.
All campers should expect to have a ton of fun, learn a lot of field hockey, and of course we will have awesome goodies and fun giveaways and prizes.

Who can Participate in Summer Camps?
K – 4th Summer Field Hockey Camp
The first of Coastal Clash’s three summer field hockey camps is designed for younger athletes of all levels of experience and skill. This camp is for all players K – 4th grade. No experience is necessary to play. This is a perfect opportunity to try field hockey for the first time with others new to the sport.
5th – 9th Summer Field Hockey Camp
The second of our summer field hockey camps is designed for all players 5th – 9th grade. We invite incoming 8th and 9th grade athletes with more than one year experience to play in this camp as well as the 8th-12th camp. This camp will reinforce good fundamentals and expand on a wide range of skills. This is a great way to gain a lot of experience in a short amount of time. Incoming freshmen with little or no experience are invited to participate in this camp before participating in the 8th-12th summer camp the following week.
8th – 12th Summer Field Hockey Camp
The last of our summer field hockey camps is geared toward experienced players only. We invite athletes in 8th – 12th grade who have a strong understanding of all the basics of field hockey and a minimum of one year experience. This camp will reinforce good fundamentals with a focus on expanding players’ field hockey knowledge, skills, and experience. Incoming freshmen with little or no experience are invited to participate in the 5th-9th camp before participating in this summer camp..

FAQs – Summer Field Hockey Camps
My child is new to field hockey. Will they be the only new player?
No! Our summer field hockey camps are our best and most popular event for new players all year. We get an especially large number of incoming freshmen with no experience that are preparing for the upcoming fall field hockey season.
My child is an incoming freshman that has never played. Can they do the 8th-12th camp?
No, we will immediately be focusing on advanced topics and skills, so this camp is definitely not for beginners. Your daughter will have a lot more success building a strong foundation of skills in the 5th-9th camp. We will not be making exceptions.
I want to sign my child up for your summer camps, but we can’t make all five days. Can we still sign up? Can you prorate the cost?
Can we still sign up? Yes, you can still register if you can’t come every day. Can you prorate the cost? Yes, if you will be missing more than one day please contact us to ask about reduced cost.
Can boys play? Will my son be the only one?
Can boys play? Yes, boys are welcome to join our summer field hockey camps. Will my son be the only one? Well, maybe. We currently don’t have a large group of boys playing field hockey in San Diego yet, but hopefully soon. If your son would like to get a group bring a group of friends please contact us for a group discount.
